From Drive to Campaign: Simplifying Ad Creative Uploads

ZeptoLab, is a video game developer best known for developing the Cut the Rope series, which has been downloaded more than 2 billion times since its release.
Challenge
ZeptoLab’s team managed their ad creatives by manually transferring files from NextCloud to Facebook’s Media Library. This process required downloading media files from cloud storage and re-uploading them to Facebook, taking up part of their time and shifting focus away from higher-value tasks. While this approach worked, it came with some limitations:
Every upload required extra steps, delaying campaign launches and slowing down iterations
Duplicate uploads led to clutter and unnecessary manual cleanup
Managing files manually didn’t scale, what worked before became a bottleneck as operations expanded
These challenges made it clear that ZeptoLab needed a more efficient solution to streamline creative uploads, reduce manual work, and improve workflow efficiency.
Solution
ZeptoLab needed a way to get their ad creatives from NextCloud into Facebook Media Library without the hassle of downloading and re-uploading files. Since no existing solution could do this, Scalemate built a custom integration from scratch, making it possible for their team to upload creatives in just a couple of clicks.
To provide even more control over the process, advanced sync settings were introduced:
Inclusion & Exclusion rules allowed the team to specify which files to upload or exclude
Scalemate ensured so the only new creatives were transferred, preventing redundant uploads
Custom File Selection gave teams full control over which files to upload for greater accuracy
By building a solution that didn’t previously exist on the market, Scalemate eliminated unnecessary manual work, improved creative management, and gave ZeptoLab the flexibility to scale their campaigns without limitations.
Results
With Scalemate’s automation in place, ZeptoLab cut down manual upload time by 70%, eliminating the extra steps that slowed down their workflow. Their team could now upload creatives in just in a few clicks, speeding up campaign launches and improving iteration time.
As their ad volume grew, the custom NextCloud integration allowed them to scale without adding extra workload. What was once a bottleneck became a seamless process, freeing up 30 hours per month for the team to focus on creative strategy and campaign performance instead of handling files.
